Interactive model · Tables 1–5

Follow an alarm from chart to person

Change the assumptions and follow their effects through chance alarms, rota searches, alarms on units with an offender, nurses wrongly flagged, and nurses taken off wards.

The tables start from the paper’s own simulation run and recalculate exactly as you change settings. Counts for hypothetical settings are scenarios, not estimates of real offender prevalence.

Units in the model

Unit counts scale system totals. Deaths a year and roster sizes run the simulation; changing deaths a year recalibrates rule E before its new results appear.
